Jacket Port Installation Instructions

Locate and Identify all the parts and pieces of your Jacket Port:  A.  Rubber Gasket, B. Outer ABS Plastic Piece with 8 holes, C. Inner ABS plastic piece with 6 counter sunk holes, D. 8 self tapping screws, E. Smooth ABS plastic piece with 2 holes.  You will need a Phillips head screw driver for installation, the short #2 screw drivers work the best for us.

Step One:  Remove the adhesive cover on the rubber gasket and place the rubber gasket on the outside of your jacket where you would like the Jacket Port to be installed.  Generally the best location for your Jacket Port is centered on the back near the seam of the jackets hood or collar.

Step Two:  Place the ABS plastic piece with 6 counter sunk holes on the inside of your jacket lining it up with the rubber gasket from step one.  This piece should be placed with the rough/textured side touching the fabric.

Step Three:  Place the ABS plastic piece with 8 holes on the outside of your jacket on top of the rubber gasket from step one.  This piece should be placed with the rough/textured side touching the rubber gasket.

Step Four:  When you have the 3 pieces lined up start installing the 6 screws into the ABS plastic piece on the inside of your jacket.  The screws are self tapping and with a little pressure will go right thru your jackets fabric, thru the rubber gasket and into the outer ABS plastic piece.  Continue until all 6 screws and installed and tight.

Step Five:  With a sharp knife cut a hole thru your jacket using the hole in the rubber gasket as a guide.  Your jacket port is now ready to accept your favorite safety harness/safety vest strap.

Step Six:  If you are going to use your jacket, that has a Jacket Port installed, for a hunt that does not involve hunting from a tree stand you can install the flat ABS plastic piece with two holes on the outside Jacket Port piece with the two additional screws included.  To do this just line up the corresponding holes and install the screws.

**Please refer to your different jackets for washing and drying instructions.  There is no need to remove the Jacket Port for washing or drying.  You may need to check the screw tightness after washing or drying your jacket and the rubber may expand in the dryer but this will not affect the life span or effectiveness of the Jacket Port.
